- ‘Ike Loa is not a traditional learning center.
- We aim to break down the boxes that burden students and support their inherent creativity. While we are happy to offer support on overwhelming work, our primary goal is to foster creativity, innovation, and curiosity in order to create independent solution-seekers. All of our teaching staff are certified teachers in their specialized fields with focused strengths. Our teachers are here to be a part of your 'ohana's village and support your child in the learning process. With our experienced staff, we are able to accommodate small groups and one-on-one requests, and provide feedback to parents on their student's strengths, areas for growth, and goals. We look forward to serving your child and family holistically with our unique approach.

- Summer Camp Teacher, Movement TherapistRegina Lumsden
- Certifications in Spacial Dynamics, Eurythmy, Extra Lesson Student Support
Regina’s effortless joy inspires others to move along with her and join in the play. She probably danced before she walked! Growing up with the wall-to-wall rhythms of life in Brazil, her body moves to the music as easily as a dandelion puff floats on the wind. Classically trained in ballet, modern dance and jazz, her body naturally models great alignment. Samba flows through her like a multi-streamed river. She performed professionally in a contemporary dance company for five years. Regina went on to study Eurythmy (also known as “soul gymnastics”) and Spacial Dynamics (aligning the physical, ego and soul) in England. She learned to use both of these practices for therapeutic purposes with students. She also practiced Waldorf’s Sensory Integration and Neuro-Developmental Movement Therapy while teaching for years as a Waldorf teacher specialized in the Waldorf movement curriculum.
