- Our emphasis on holistic learning, as well as our respect for the curiosity and exploration that students naturally possess, is evident in our play-based learning approach. We strive to provide students with an educational experience that is designed to cultivate self-esteem, foster creativity and promote the acquisition of academic proficiencies. Through our approach, students are encouraged to grow and develop in a fun and interactive environment.
Our Program consists of multisensory approaches to learning that include food, play, art, and games. We will provide a snack for the students while teaching them life skills and engage an understanding of nutrition and meal-preparation. Our opening activity for our deep-dive into our academic portion will be a brain-game warm-up to foster the innovation and creativity that is needed to tackle problems and seek solutions.
Our Project of Innovation (P.O.I.) allows each student to assess their own passions and interests and choose an engaging topic that they are interested in learning more about. All Project expectations will be aligned with grade-level benchmarks to ensure students are working to their greatest strengths.
Our final hour will be focused on continuing work, games, and any traditional tutoring should students need help with assigned school work. We value teaching executive-functioning skills to allow students to learn strong time-management and task-prioritization skills.
