- We are pleased to introduce our learning academy and share why we exist, what we do, and how we do it.
"Ike" means to see, view, perceive, and experience. "Loa" is the Hawaiian word for plentiful, abundance, and longevity. Together, "Ike Loa" means "to see much" or "have an abundance of wisdom." This philosophy encourages us to be lifelong students, to take delight in learning new things, and to continue seeking knowledge regardless of age. 'Ike Loa is about seeing many things, experiencing them, learning, finding delight, and loving life as it happens. Trying new things is one way to create the life you want.
To be more precise, in 'Ike Loa terminology, having vision means having a perspective that allows you to see beyond what you observe through learning. In other words, it means seeing "beyond sight." Having vision enables you to perceive the essence, core, and potential of everything and to identify what needs to be done to achieve it.
This ability to see beyond the surface level and identify what needs to be done can be applied to many areas of life, not just in the educational field or leadership. It can help in personal relationships, creative pursuits, and problem-solving. Developing a strong sense of vision requires curiosity, open-mindedness, and a willingness to ask questions and challenge assumptions.
At our academy, we aim to foster student's ability to try new things, discover their passions, and creatively tackle problems with an entrepreneurial spirit. We encourage lifelong learning and want to develop the next generation of leaders with healthy self-identities who can live happily with others.
